Meet Dr. L’Heureux
Dr. L’Heureux was born and raised in Waterville, ME. In the Summer between high school and college he underwent orthognathic surgery which spurred his interest in the oral and maxillofacial surgery profession. He completed his undergraduate training at Colby College where he was on the Dean’s list and received of a Bachelor of the Arts in Mathematics and Biology.
Dr. L’Heureux completed the remainder of his education at the University of Connecticut. He obtained a DMD in 2010 and earned the Oral Surgery Award from the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine. He then continued on to obtain a medical degree (MD, 2013), 2-Year certificate in General Surgery (2013-2015), and an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery certificate (2016, Chief Resident 2015-2016).
Dr. L’Heureux practices full scope oral and maxillofacial surgery with special interest in dental implant surgery, wisdom tooth removal, corrective jaw surgery, jaw reconstruction, and repair of facial trauma. He is committed to staying up to date with the current trends in management of dentofacial abnormalities and pathology, as well as dental implant reconstruction.
Dr. L’Heureux is a member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (AAOMS) and American Dental Association (ADA). He has authored several book chapters pertaining to specific areas of oral and maxillofacial surgery.
While out of the office Dr. L’Heureux enjoys soccer, hiking, running, and spending time with girlfriend, two sons, and dog.
